All American Community Health Center is a nonprofit community clinic opening in Pomona, CA. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. The Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and will help create a welcoming, organized, and professional clinic experience. This role includes answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance eligibility, updating patient information, and supporting day-to-day front office operations. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly in English and Spanish
- Answer phone calls and assist patients with questions
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Verify insurance eligibility, including Medi-Cal when applicable
- Collect and update patient demographics and contact information
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR/EMR system
- Assist with referrals, forms, and basic front office paperwork
- Communicate with providers, medical assistants, and other staff
- Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Follow HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines
- Support general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Previous medical front desk, receptionist, or clinic experience preferred
- Experience with insurance verification is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
